The University is pleased to offer a range of scholarships for Thai students of high academic standing commencing their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2007.

Undergraduate Scholarships eg BA, BSc, BEng

Faculty Undergraduate Scholarships
U Shef offers scholarships to all international students commencing their studies in the Faculties of Engineering, Pure Science and Law in September 2007:

Engineering International Scholarships 2007
The scholarships are worth £2,000 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:
  • You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2007 in one of the following departments: Automatic Control & Systems Engineering, Chemical & Process Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Engineering Materials, Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering.
  • You must be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
  • The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required in first or subsequent years.
  • The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
  • The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction


Pure Science International Scholarships 2007
The scholarships are worth £2,000 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

  • You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2007 in one of the following departments: Animal and Plant Sciences, Archaeology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Geography, Information Studies, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Physics and Astronomy, Psychology, Mathematics and Statistics.
  • You must be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
  • The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required in first or subsequent years.
  • The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
  • The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

Law International Scholarships 2007
The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

  • You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2007 in the Faculty of Law.
  • You must be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
  • The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required in first or subsequent years.
  • The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
  • The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
